Since 1986, we have hoped and prayed that new Christians growing in "The Most Excellent Way" are being discipled and grounded in the basics of Christian doctrines found in the Word of God. We pray they are being encouraged to PUT OFF man's and the world's philosophies and practices, and are being taught how to PUT ON Christ.
"Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world
makes himself an enemy of God.
Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain,
' The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously'?
But He gives more grace. Therefore He says:
'God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.'"
James 4:4-6 NKJV
Humility cures the teacher's and the new Christian's worldliness:
"Therefore submit to God.
Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.
Cleanse your hands, you sinners;
and purify your hearts, you double-minded. ...
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up."
James 4:7-8, 10 NKJV
We encourage new Believers to pass through our revolving door into the Church, and to become active members of the Body of Christ:
- Attend Sunday worship services and weekly Bible studies
- Daily Surrender to the Holy Spirit
- Study and meditate on the Word of God daily
- Fellowship with Christians
- Pray always with a consciousness of God's presence
- Praise and worship our Lord with thanksgiving
