Jesus said to His disciples:
"All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them
in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them too observe all things that I have commanded you;
and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
Matthew 28:18-20 NKJV
Since 1986, we have hoped and prayed that new Christians growing in "The Most Excellent Way" are being discipled and grounded in the basics of Christian doctrines found in the Word of God. We pray they are being encouraged to PUT OFF man's and the world's philosophies and practices, and taught how to PUT ON Christ.
"Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world
makes himself an enemy of God.
Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain,
' The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously'?
But He gives more grace. Therefore He says:
'God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.'"
James 4:4-6 NKJV
Humility cures the teacher's and the new Christian's worldliness:
"Therefore submit to God.
Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.
Cleanse your hands, you sinners;
and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Lament and mourn and weep!
Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom.
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up."
James 4:7-10 NKJV
JESUS said:
"If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.
And you shall know
the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Therefore if the Son makes you free,
you shall
be free indeed."
John 8:31-32, 36 NKJV
