So much of what is written today, even by Christians, promotes and instructs readers to focus on their problems of the flesh, rather than on Jesus, the problem solver — especially in the popu-lar "recovery" and "Biblical counseling" movements. Scriptures are sprinkled through their writings, giving readers a false sense of security that they are being presented with God's undiluted truth. It's a "form of godliness" that denies the sufficiency and power of God's Word.
"I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ,
who will judge the living and the dead
at His appearing and His kingdom:
Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season.
Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine ,
but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears,
they will heap up for themselves teachers;
and they will turn their ears away from the truth,
and be turned aside to fables."
2 Timothy 4:1-4 NKJV

The eBooks we've linked to are worthy of attention because they are God-honoring and Biblically-sound. It is our hearts' desire that all who pass through "The Most Excellent Way" become grounded in the Word of God. The authors we appreciate and trust are dedicated to the spiritual growth of God's people, and do not compromise the Word of God with man's philosophies and psycho-babble. Rather, they lift up Jesus and encourage us to wholeheartedly follow Him. A devoted Christian writer will challenge and encourage us to know and understand God's truth and live accordingly.
"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:
For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters,
proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful,
unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control,
brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong,
haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
having a form of godliness but denying its power.
And from such people turn away!"
2 Timothy 3:1-6 NKJV
