Many participants come to “The Most Excellent Way” as an alternative to A.A. —  searching for an environment where they can freely express their faith in Jesus, grow in the Word of God and receive His healing. Others attend in order to satisfy court ordered “recovery meetings.”  Unbelievers come and find genuine love, peer support, Christ and eternal hope and peace.  Others are backslidden Christians, timid and shamefaced, who the Holy Spirit draws back to Jesus.

Q.  How long do we meet together in“The Most Excellent Way”?

A.  Just long enough to experience freedom from addictions, and
gain confidence in the Lord to move on with our lives in Christ.
“The Most Excellent Way” is not a way of life — it is just a place
      to begin new life!

THE DRUNKARD
Who has woe?
Who has sorrow?
Who has contentions?
Who has complaints?
Who has wounds
without cause?
Who has redness of eyes?
Those who linger long
at the wine,
Those who go in search
of mixed wine.
Do not look on the wine
when it is red,
When it sparkles in the cup,
When it swirls
around smoothly;
At the last it bites
like a serpent,
And stings like a viper.
Your eyes will see
strange things,
And your heart will
utter perverse things.
Yes, you will be like
one who lies down
in the midst of the sea,
Or like one who lies at the
top of the mast, saying:
“They have struck me,
but I was not hurt;
They have beaten me,
but I did not feel it.
When shall I awake,
that I may seek
another drink?”

Come to His Love, Acceptance and Forgiveness ...
A DESPERATE  CRY FOR HELP
Have mercy upon me, O God,
According to Your lovingkindness;
According to the multitude of
Your tender mercies,
    Blot out my transgressions.
2Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
And cleanse me from my sin.
3For I acknowledge my transgressions,
And my sin is always before me. ...
10Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11Do not cast me away from Your presence,
And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.
12Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,
And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.
13Then I will teach transgressors Your ways,
And sinners shall be converted to You.”
